2021
Nook is small and shy, and she likes to sit in the cozy, comfy space of a hollow tree watching others play. When someone comes along to take Nook's space, she feels lost and afraid, until she discovers she has friends looking out for her in ways she never imagined! This gentle story explores shyness and sensory needs, and inspires kindness, inclusion, and friendship. - From Amazon
Shyness - Friends standing up for friends
Awww... sweet little bun-bun! I liked the variety of woodland animals featured in this book - Its not often you see badgers in a picture book. Of course. this *is* an import from Scotland. I liked the sweet story of friendship, and a shy child who isn't being pushed to be brave by the grown ups in her life, but rather allowed to do the things that make her feel safe. I loved the spread that showed her shadow leaping to go play with the other children, while she stayed tucked in her nook.
