• The only note of origin is "Jataka tale from India" I would have liked to see more. I'm familiar with Galdone's work with classic fairytales, so It was interesting to see his work on a folktale from some where other than europe. I thought it was well told, in the cunning vs. cunning battle of wits between croc and monkey. I love the monkey looking knowingly out at the reader!
