• I love the play on words between "this is art" (the illustrations) and "this is Art" (the little boy). Listening and inferring the meaning - or even double meaning of each use would be a good practice for the child ear! This book explores creativity and celebrates a child's creative spirit, and while award winner McDonnell's illustrations are "cute" they don't stand out as much as Press Here or The Dot does in this realm
