Would be lovely for talking about anticipation/excitement/ looking forward to things with pre-K and Kindergarten.
Its been a long time since I've been so delighted by a book! I won't spoil anything, but when the cat joins the window sill, and we turn the page to find out what she was waiting for, I literally gasped out loud. Such a marvelous surprise. I love the expressions Henkes gives the toy characters. I could see spending a leisurely time with this book and a child, looking at and talking about how we think the characters are feeling/ what they are thinking.
